Several reports have claimed that the Oppo Find X8 series will be announced this month (October) in China. Today, the brand released an official confirmation that the Find X8 series will be unveiled on Oct. 24 in China. It also revealed that the X8 lineup will have the newly announced Dimensity 9400 chipset.
According to reports, the Find X8 series launching later this month will include three models, the Find X8, Find X8 Pro, and Find X8 Pro Satellite Communication Version. These models have been spotted with model numbers PKB110, PKC110, and PKC130, respectively, in the databases of Chinese certification platforms. The 3C certification of these devices has revealed that these devices may support 80W wired charging.
Additionally, Oppo has confirmed that all the X8 models will support 50W magnetic wireless charging. The series also includes the Find X8 Ultra, which is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. As per reports, the company plans to launch it in January 2025.
According to rumors, the Find X8 will feature a 6.5-inch BOE display with a sharp 1.5K resolution and ultra-narrow, equal-sized bezels. It will pack a 5,700mAh battery and run on ColorOS 15-based Android 15. The X8 series is said to feature a customized virtual pressure-sensitive button, which will function similar to the Camera Control button on the recent iPhones.
In terms of photography, the rear triple-camera setup will boast a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera (LYT-600) for high-quality zoom capabilities. The device will have a metal frame and a glass back, along with an IP68/69 rating for water and dust resistance. It will measure just 7 mm in thickness and weigh 190 grams, It will be available in four attractive colors: black, white, blue, and pink.
On the other hand, the Find X8 Pro is expected to feature a larger 6.78-inch display and a 6,000mAh battery. Its rear camera setup is expected to feature a pair of periscope telephoto cameras.
