OPPO has officially confirmed that the company will be launching the brand new Reno12 series smartphones in the Chinese market on May 23rd later this month. The new Reno12 series smartphones will be coming as direct successor to the Reno11 Pro 5G (Review) and Reno11 5G smartphones that were launched in the global market earlier this year.
Based on the teaser released by OPPO, the upcoming Reno12 series will be arriving with a completely revamped rear design which includes a new rectangular camera island that houses its camera system. As usual, the phones will be treated to a series of unique colorways with some sort of “floating-wave” design to it.
As far as hardware is concerned, the higher-end OPPO Reno12 Pro is expected to arrive with a 6.7 OLED display featuring a FHD+ screen resolution along with a fast 120Hz refresh rate. Other than that, its also expected to feature a custom MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ Star Speed Edition chipset as well as a 50MP triple-camera setup.
Considering that the phone had already been certified by various authorities such as Indonesia’s SDPPI certification platform. BIS (India), Singapore (IMDA) and EEC (Europe), a global launch is also likely to take place in the coming months.
