Save the date: Realme GT 8 series is launching on October 21

iQOO recently confirmed that it will announce the iQOO 15 on Oct. 20 in China. Today, Realme revealed that it will unveil the GT 8 series on the next day, i.e., on Oct. 21. The brand has also confirmed that the lineup will include two models: the Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro.

Realme has officially confirmed that the Realme GT 8 Pro will feature the all-new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. On the other hand, the GT 8 will arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip from last year. However, both devices will feature the company’s self-developed R1 gaming chip for enhanced graphics.

The Realme GT 8 Pro will arrive with a 6.78-inch BOE Q10+ OLED screen, which supports a 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Realme has also confirmed that the GT 8’s display will support 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. However, its display size is yet to be officially revealed.

The Realme GT 8 Pro is expected to arrive as the company’s most powerful camera phone. It is said to be equipped with a Sony LYT-700 50-megapixel primary camera, an ultra-wide lens, and a 200-megapixel Samsung HP5 periscope telephoto camera. Realme will also offer additional features such as the Ricoh GR colour profiles and a swappable camera module feature.

The GT 8 Pro is expected to pack a 7,000mAh battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging support. Speculations are rife that the GT 8 could be equipped with a 7,000mAh battery, but its charging capabilities are yet to be revealed.
