Realme has confirmed the GT Neo 6’s official launch date. The phone is set to launch at 2pm (local time) on May 9 in China. An “AI digital human” will host the event, making it unique. Realme is calling it the first AI digital human conference.
Before its announcement, JD.mall listed the Realme GT Neo 6, offering a preview of its features. Realme’s Weibo handle has since corroborated the choice of chipset and fast charging capability confirmed by the listing.
Though the screen size is unknown, the Realme GT Neo 6 will have a curved screen with a centre-aligned selfie cutout. It will use an 8T LTPO OLED with 6000 nits of brightness. This panel, co-designed with BOE, made its debut on the GT Neo 6 SE. The screen consumes 20% less power than ordinary LTPO screens, according to the company. Likewise, the display will have Greenfield AI Eye protection to reduce eye fatigue.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset will power the Realme GT Neo 6. Realme claims that a 10014 mm2 VC heat dissipation system will support it, boasting four times the thermal conductivity of a traditional VC.
The phone will draw power from a 5,500mAh battery with support for 120W wired fast charging. With a compatible charger, the phone can go from 0% to 50% in just 10 minutes. Based on the official posters shared by Realme, the GT Neo 6 will have flat frames and rounded corners. A 50-megapixel shooter will lead the dual-camera setup on the phone. So far, Realme has only unveiled the phone’s purple color variant. It is confirmed to have IP65 dust and water resistance.
