Redmi unveiled the Redmi Note 14 series of smartphones in September in China. There have been reports that the Note 14 lineup will be released around a month earlier than expected in the global market. To recall, the Redmi Note 13 series was announced in January of this year in India. The brand officially confirmed today that the Note 14 lineup will debut in India on Dec. 9. It appears that it will be the first country to receive the Note 14 series outside of China.
The Redmi Note 14 series available in China includes three models, such as the Redmi Note 14, Note 14 Pro, and Note 14 Pro+. The Dimensity 7025 Ultra, Dimensity 7300 Ultra, and Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipsets, respectively, power these devices. Speculation suggests that the Note 14 series, particularly the Pro models, destined for the global market, will feature a different camera configuration compared to their Chinese counterparts.
According to leaked information from September, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ will come with a 200-megapixel Samsung S5KHP3 primary camera, an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera. The Redmi Note 14 Pro, on the other hand, is expected to feature the same primary and ultra-wide cameras as the Pro+ variant but will likely replace the telephoto camera with a 2-megapixel macro lens. When compared to the Chinese variants, the Redmi Note 14 Pro in China has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary camera, while the Note 14 Pro+ will adopt a 50-megapixel OmniVision OVX8000 sensor.
The Chinese editions of the Redmi Note 14 Pro and Note 14 Pro have a 6.67-inch OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Both devices run on Android 14 with a layer of HyperOS on top. The Note 14 Pro packs a 5,200mAh battery with 45W charging, whereas the Pro+ features a 6,200mAh battery with 90W charging. Both phones offer an IP69 level of dust and water resistance.
