Save the date: Samsung Galaxy A-series phones are launching on March 11

Several reports have claimed that Samsung is working on the Galaxy A35 5G and Galaxy A55 5G mid-range phones for multiple markets. Today, the Indian wing of the brand released an official confirmation to reveal that both smartphones are scheduled to launch on March 11 in India. Likely, the two phones will also launch in other markets around the same time. The rumor mill has already leaked a lot of information about the two phones. Here is a look at what’s known about these phones so far.

The Galaxy A55 is rumored to feature a 6.5-inch AMOLED display, whereas the A35 may arrive with a slightly bigger 6.6-inch AMOLED screen. Both punch-hole screens are expected to offer an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and in-screen fingerprint scanners.

The Galaxy A55 is said to feature the Exynos 1480 chipset, whereas the A35 may come equipped with the Exynos 1380 SoC. The series is expected to offer up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of built-in storage. The two phones are said to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.

The Galaxy A35 is likely to feature a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. On the other hand, the A55 may arrive with a 32-megapixel selfie snapper.  The rear camera setup of both phones may include a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support. The A55 may offer other cameras, such as a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 5-megapixel macro camera. On the other hand, the Galaxy A35 may feature an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

Both smartphones are expected to run on Android 14 with a layer of One UI 6.1 on top. Both devices are also said to feature an IP67-rated body.
