Samsung has officially confirmed the arrival of three new Galaxy A-series smartphones in India, scheduled for launch on March 2nd, 2025. Samsung’s landing page for the upcoming Galaxy A-series phones confirms the launch date, aligning with leaks that predict the arrival of the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 as successors to the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35. A third model, the Galaxy A26, is also rumored to be part of the lineup.
Upcoming Galaxy A-series phones: What to expect?

Speculations suggest that the Galaxy A36 will house a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, whereas the Galaxy A56 may feature the Exynos 1580 chipset. The Galaxy A26 is expected to be powered by the Exynos 2400e processor. All three phones are likely to ship with One UI 7 based on Android 15. Samsung has teased that these models could receive six years of OS updates, continuing the company’s long-term software commitment.
The Galaxy A36 and A56 are tipped to feature 6.7-inch Full HD+ 120Hz AMOLED displays with up to 1,200 nits brightness, while the A26 may get a slightly smaller 6.6-inch LCD screen. The A56 is rumored to have Gorilla Glass Victus protection, while the A36 could feature Gorilla Glass 7i. The A26 may come with standard Gorilla Glass.
Camera setups are expected to include 50-megapixel triple-camera systems, with the A56 potentially featuring Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for improved low-light photography. The Galaxy A26 will have a 13-megapixel front-facing camera, whereas the Galaxy A36 and A56 will be equipped with a 12-megapixel selfie snapper.
The A36 and A56 could offer 45W fast charging with 5,000mAh batteries, while the A26 might support 25W charging with a slightly smaller 4,565mAh battery. All three devices could feature in-display fingerprint sensors and IP67 water and dust resistance. Connectivity options across the models are expected to include 5G support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC.
