Vivo has finally confirmed the Vivo X200 series’ launch date for the Chinese market. As rumors had claimed, the brand will announce the X200 lineup on Oct. 14. The lineup comprises three models: the Vivo X200, the Vivo X200 Pro Mini, and the Vivo X200 Pro. At present, the company is receiving preorders for these smartphones.
The Vivo X200 trio will be the first phone to come equipped with the Dimensity 9400. For those who are unaware, MediaTek is expected to unveil the new chip tomorrow (Oct. 9) in China. The chip is also expected to power the Oppo Find X8 series, which is expected to launch on Oct. 21 in China.
The Vivo X200 series, like its previous generations, is expected to offer unmatched camera capabilities. The Vivo X200 Pro and X200 Pro are expected to feature the all-new 50-megapixel Sony LYT-818 primary camera with OIS support. Both phones will also have a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 ultra-wide lens.
Being a Pro model, the X200 Pro is also expected to feature a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, which the company previously offered on the Vivo X100 Ultra. As far as the Pro Mini is concerned, it is expected to feature a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
The X200, on the other hand, will have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide snapper, and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The entire series will run on OriginOS 5-based Android 14. The X200 Pro Mini, which will be a new addition to the company’s X-series flagships, will be a compact offering equipped with powerful specs borrowed from the X200 Pro.
