Save the date: Xiaomi 14, 14 Pro, Watch S3 are launching on October 26

Xiaomi has officially announced its next launch event on October 26 at 7:00 PM (local time). During this event, the company will introduce the Xiaomi 14 series, as well as unveil the new HyperOS and the Xiaomi Watch S3 smartwatch.

Xiaomi is emphasizing that this event represents a significant breakthrough for the company. The Xiaomi 14 series is expected to feature a substantial “leap-forward upgrade.” Additionally, Xiaomi will introduce HyperOS, a self-developed operating system platform that will facilitate seamless interconnectivity between people, cars, and homes in its ecosystem.

From the promotional images, it is evident that the Xiaomi 14 series will maintain the popular right-angle mid-frame design seen in the Xiaomi Mi 13. This design imparts a robust and stylish look, likely achieved using a lightweight bright aluminum alloy or a novel material, as stainless steel is usually considered too heavy for smartphones. The rear camera continues to follow a rectangular design.

The lineup will have two models, the Xiaomi 14 and the Xiaomi 14 Pro. Xiaomi is expected to announce the Xiaomi 14 Ultra in the first quarter of 2024.

As for the Xiaomi Watch S3, the official announcement mentions a round dial and various strap options in black, green, yellow, blue, and brown. A recent leak claimed that the device will arrive with an OLED screen, a 520mAh battery, and support for 4G connectivity and include other features, such as a heart rate sensor, a blood oxygen tracker, and voice calling.

It is worth noting that Qualcomm is set to launch the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip on October 25. Both the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro will come equipped with the new chip.
