Sharp has announced its first Snapdragon 855 flagship phone called AQUOS R3. It has arrived as the successor of the AQUOS R2 that was unveiled in May 2018 with Snapdragon 845. The AQUOS R3 comes with the compay’s trademark IGZO display and its packed with exciting specs.
Sharp AQOUS R3 Specifications and Features
The AQOUS R3 that comes with a glass body measures 156 x 74 x 8.9mm and it weighs around 185 grams. The 5th-generation Pro IGZO display that measures 6.2 inches is available on the device. The u-shaped notched screen supports quad HD+ resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels. It offers a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Well, it also features a slightly large inverted notch at the bottom side of the screen.
The Snapdragon 855 mobile platform present inside the phone is supported by 6 GB of RAM. It comes with a native storage of 128 GB. It runs on Android 9 Pie OS. The smartphone is backed by 3,200mAh battery that supports 11W Qi standard wireless charging and rapid charging.
For capturing selfies, the AQOUS R3 possesses a 16.3-megapixe front camera with f/2.0 aperture and 80-degree field of view. It is equipped with various AI driven beautification features for shooting better selfies. The dual camera setup on its rear is equipped with 12.2-megapixel primary lens with f/1.7 aperture, high speed autofocus, OIS and image quality engine. The second lens in the dual camera setup is a 125-degree super-wide 20-megapixel lens with f/2.0 aperture. It offers features like deep focus, EIS, AI live shutter and AI live story. For user authentication, the AQUOS R3 is equipped with front-mounted fingerprint (placed in inverted notch) scanner and face recognition. It is also equipped with Dolby powered stereo speakers. There is no information on the price of the AQUOS R3.
