Sharp has unveiled the AQUOS Zero smartphone in Taiwan as the world’s lightest smartphone with 6-inch screen. It has landed in the country with a price tag of NT$ 19,990 ($648). The sales of the smartphone will begin from Jan. 15 in the country
Sharp AQUOS Zero Specifications and Features
The Sharp AQUOS Zero that weighs only 146 grams features a lightweight OLED panel and makes use of highly-durable fiber back cover and magnesium alloy frame. It is also the largest AQOUS branded smartphone from the company. The smartphone houses a 6.2-inch Sharp OLED flexible panel which supports WQHD+ resolution of 2,992 x 1,440 pixels. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The handset features an IP68 certified dust and water resistant chassis.
The Snapdragon 845 chipset powers the smartphone along with 6 GB of RAM. The internal storage of the device is 128 GB. There is no microSD card slot on the device. The handset receives power from 3,130mAh battery.
For security, it is equipped with features like face recognition and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The smartphone is loaded with Android 9 Pie OS. The rear side of the phone features a 22.6-megapixel camera and the front notch houses an 8-megapixel wide-angle selfie shooter. The handset is available in single color option of Meteorite Black.
