HUAWEI Mate X3 features an industry-leading foldable smartphone that sets a new standard for how light, thin and reliable a foldable smartphone can possibly be. It is the culmination of Huawei’s research and development efforts on users’ experience of large-screen foldable smartphones in recent years, and integration of Huawei’s latest self-developed premium materials and patented technologies. Some of the key features of Mate X3 include:
(1) Ultra-light and thin appearance with large screen
HUAWEI Mate X3 stretches the limits of imagination, with an ultra-light weight of 239g and an astounding thickness of 11.08mm while folded, and 5.3mm while unfolded – making it one of the world’s slimmest and lightest large-screen foldable smartphone. HUAWEI Mate X3 also features the industry’s slimmest-ever Type-C component with integrated structural design and is IPX810 rated for water resistance, offering unparalleled thinness and durability.
HUAWEI Mate X3 is equipped with a 6.4-inch 3D OLED exterior screen and a 7.85-inch12 foldable OLED internal screen, with both interior and exterior screens supporting ultra-high resolution and 426 PPI pixel density, making it the first foldable smartphone to garner two TÜV Rheinland Certifications (Colour Accuracy & Precise Colour Projection). Not only is the picture quality smooth and detailed, but it also reproduces the world in true colour. For the first time, it is equipped with the Intelligent Light-Sensitive Display, the screens deliver a consistent viewing experience across environments, maintaining a clear display even in dim lighting.
(2) Peak performance: optimised connectivity and battery life
HUAWEI Mate X3 is embedded with a 4800mAh large battery and 66W wired HUAWEI SuperCharge, 50W wireless HUAWEI SuperCharge, 7.5 W Wireless Reverse Charging, which easily meet the needs of daily use. HUAWEI Mate X3 is also equipped with the cross-hinge graphene cooling system for the greater heat dissipation. The 1800 W/m·K highly thermally-conductive graphene layer helps the phone keep its cool, even when it’s handling a lot – useful during scenarios such as charging and gaming.
(3) All-round imaging capabilities: periscope telephoto camera, faster shooting
HUAWEI MATE X3 sets a new standard in imaging with Ultra Vision XMAGE technology to meet the needs of all-scenario photography, for a superb shooting experience. Equipped with a 50 MP Ultra Vision Main Camera, a 13 MP Ultra-Wide-Angle Camera, and a 12 MP Periscope Telephoto Camera, the phone supports 5x optical zoom. The periscope telephoto lens supports a maximum of 5x optical zoom and 50x digital zoom, and can capture details that naked eyes would miss, of scenes from far away. Moreover, HUAWEI Mate X3’s main camera and telephoto lens come with an RYYB sensor, which takes in 40% more light to generate vivid images, even in dimly lit environments.
HUAWEI Mate X3 brings strengthened XMAGE styles, which reproduce colours to deliver outstanding images. Users can explore three XMAGE styles: Original, Vivid, and Bright. The Vivid and Bright styles enhance your shots and imbue them with a more distinctive flavour. The Vivid style is suitable for capturing natural scenery with an array of colours such as sunsets, or autumn foliage to record the beauty of nature. The Bright style can lighten up your images and capture more attractive shots of people or food.
