Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset has finally appeared on benchmarking website GeekBench where it underwent multiple benchmark tests with the series of results uploaded today. The flagship processor is listed as Qualcomm MSM8998 on the database and there is no doubt that is the Snapdragon 835 which is yet to find its way into any smartphone.
According to the listing, the octa-core CPU ran at a frequency of 1.90GHz for the test and the device on which it ran had 4GB of RAM onboard. Also, the device has the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS providing the interface.
Further, on the single core tests, the MSM8998 pooled a total of 2004 as its peak score while it scored 6233 on the multi-core score board in its peak performance. The score is a bit on the low side but we much not forget the processor is not running at full steam. There are rumors of a underclocked version of the Snapdragon 835 chipset which would feature on the Xiaomi Mi 6 to enable it launch before the Samsung Galaxy S8 which would get the full clocked SD835.
