Snapdragon 836 Powered Google Pixel 2, Pixel XL 2 Reportedly Coming in October

Some rumors had claimed that a slightly improved version of the Snapdragon 835 dubbed as Snapdragon 836 would be powering the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. However, recent rumors have claimed that the Note 8 would be driven by Snapdragon 835 SoC. Fresh information suggests that Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel XL 2 could be the first phones to be powered by Snapdragon 836.

Google Pixel, Pixel XL Really Blue

Industry insiders have claimed that the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 will be running on Snapdragon 836 that is said to be 10 percent faster than the SD 835 chip. Not only the upcoming Google Pixel phones even the forthcoming phones from Xiaomi and OnePlus may feature the new SD 836 chip. It said to be smaller than the SD 835 and it is expected to deliver improved camera performance.

Other improvements that are expected to come on the Snapdragon 836 are better graphics performance and battery life. Last year too, Qualcomm had launched the Snapdragon 821 chipset as an improved version of the Snapdragon 820. It is also speculated that the Xiaomi Mi Note 3, Xiaomi Mi MIX and OnePlus 5 would be featuring the SD 836 chip.
