Sony Flagship with Snapdragon 855 and 8 GB RAM Has Surfaced on Geekbench

A Geekbench listing of a mysterious Sony phone hasrecently surfaced on Reddit. The smartphone seems to be a 2019 flagship phone since it is fueled by the unannounced Snapdragon 855 SoC.

The leaked screenshot reveals that the Sony H8526 phone is driven by the Snapdragon 855 SoC. Recent reports have revealed that the SD855 is a 7nm chipset and TSMC will soon begin its mass production. The SoC is expected to be equipped with Snapdragon X50 LTE modem. The new chipset is expected to power flagship phones arriving in the coming. Hence, if the Sony H8526 truly exists, it may go official in the coming year.

The Geekbench listing reveals that the Sony H8526 has scored 3,033 points in single-core test. Also, it has managed to reach 11k mark on the benchmarking site in the multi-core test by scoring 10,992 points.

The SD855 is coupled with 8 GB of RAM. It seems to be the first smartphone from Sony phone to feature 8 GB of RAM. The handset is preinstalled with Android 9.0 P.

Unfortunately, the Sony H8526 is not available on the benchmarking site. It is advisable to digest this report with a grain of salt as the authenticity of the above screenshot can be fully trusted.
