Previous reports have revealed that Sony will be ditching the OmniBalance design for its upcoming smartphones that it has been using since 2013. Hence, it is speculated that the 2018 flagship phone from Sony may feature full screen design or super-slim bezels. The new design may be made available on the Sony H8541 as its full specifications have been leaked on Reddit
The above image reveals that the smartphone would be measuring 149 x 74 x 7.5mm and it will be featuring a 5.7-inch 4K resolution supporting display. Since the Sony Xperia XZ Premium also came with a 4K display, it is speculated that the Sony H8541 phone could be 2018 Xperia XZ Premium smartphone. the handset will feature IP65/IP68 dust and water-resistant body.
The Sony H8541 is likely to arrive with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. It will be running on Android 8.0 Oreo and it will be powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset. It will be packed with a Quick Charge 3.0 enabled 3,420mAh battery. The connectivity features of the phone include GPS, Wi-Fi, 5.0 Bluetooth, NFC and USB-C.
The leak does not reveal the price or arrival time of the Sony H8541. Since Sony is known for using the Mobile World Congress (MWC) platform for announcing its new phones, the alleged 2018 Xperia XZ Premium may get unveiled at MWC 2018 in February next year.
