Last week, Sony had unveiled the Xperia 1 smartphone in China. The Japanese firm has today officially confirmed that the pre-sale of the will begin at 10:00 AM (local time) on May 28. The smartphone will be made available for purchase from June 6 at 10:00 AM.

The Sony Xperia 1 is the first Snapdragon 855 powered phone from the company. It comes with an OLED display of 6.5 inches. It offers an aspect ratio of 21:9 and 4K HDR resolution of 3840 x 1644 pixels. The display of the phone is protected by Gorilla Glass 6 panel. The smartphone is equipped with an IP68 rated dustproof and water-resistant chassis and it comes with a power button embedded side-mounted fingerprint reader.
The SD855 chip on the Xperia 1 is supported by 6 GB of RAM. It has an inbuilt storage of 128 GB. It is loaded with Android 9 Pie OS. The 3,300mAh battery of the phone is equipped with support for 18W fast charging.
The triple camera setup of the Xperia 1 has an OIS enabled 12-megapixel primary sensor with Dual Pixel PDAF, a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens and another 12-megapixel telephoto lens with OIS and dual Pixel PDAF. It features a selfie shooter of 8-megapixel. The smartphone carries a price tag of 6,299 Yuan (~$913). Its color variants are Fog Gray, Night Black, Snow White and Purple.
