At the IFA 2019 tech exhibition that was held recently in Berlin, Germany, Sony had unveiled the Xperia 5 flagship phone. Now, the Japanese tech giant has confirmed that it will be announcing the Xperia 5 smartphone in China on Sept. 24. On the very same date, Xiaomi too will be launching its Mi MIX series flagship phone.
The launch poster states that the Sony Xperia 5 China launch event will be held at 9:30 AM (local time). The poster also reveals that the Xperia 5 will be arriving in four colors such as blue, black, grey and red.
The entire specifications of the Xperia 5 are known through its IFA 2019 launch. The smartphone is fitted with a 6.1-inch OLED display that produces full HD+ resolution and offers 21:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Snapdragon 855 chipset and is backed by a 3,140mAh battery with 18W fast charging. The SoC is coupled with 6 GB of RAM and it has a native storage of 128 GB.
The rear-facing triple camera system of the phone features a 12-megapixel main lens with f/1.6 aperture, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture, OIS and 2x optical zoom and an EIS/OIS enabled 12-megapixel ultrawide lens. On the front is an 8-megapixel lens. It has a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
