Sony Xperia 5 II New Renders Leak Along with Specifications

Earlier this week, reputed tipster Evan Blass shared the first render of the upcoming Sony Xperia 5 II that was speculated to debut at the forthcoming IFA 2020 tech trade show. In a new report, Android Headlines has shared more renders along with the specifications of the smartphone. The publication revealed that the phone will be debuting on Sept. 17, and not at the upcoming IFA 2020 tech event.

Sony Xperia 5 II Specifications

The Sony Xperia 5 II will be arriving with a 6.1-inch OLED panel that will produce Full HD+ resolution and a tall aspect ratio of 21:9. It will support 120Hz refresh and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz.

The Snapdragon 865 mobile platform will be powering the device the with 8 GB of RAM. The phone has an internal storage of 128 GB. The smartphone will come preinstalled with Android 10 OS.

The rear side of the phone will have three cameras. The first one is a 12-megapixel main camera with f/1.7 aperture with 82-degrree FOV, a 12-megapixel telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture with support for 3x optical zoom, and a 12-megapixel ultrawide sensor with 124-degree FOV.  The smartphone will be capable at shooting 4K HDR videos at 120fps.

The Sony Xperia 5 II houses a 4,000mah battery that supports USB-PD fast charging through USB-C. The handset has 158 x 68 x 8mm and it has a 3.5mm audio jack. There is no word on the pricing of the Xperia 5 II yet.

The Xperia 5 II will be arriving as the successor for the Xperia 5 smartphone that debuted last year. Sony is known for announcing multiple phones at the IFA tech trade show. It is unclear which other Sony phones the company will be announced at this year’s IFA.
