Sony has announced the Xperia XZ3 smartphone at the ongoing IFA 2018 tech trade event in Berlin, Germany. The specifications of the smartphone suggest that it has arrived with improvements in aspect such as screen, battery and operating system.

The Sony Xperia XZ3 features a 6-inch OLED curved screen that supports Quad HD+ resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels along with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The 7000-series aluminum frame of the phone is sandwiched between Gorilla Glass 5 panels on the front and rear sides.
The Snapdragon 845 chipset is accompanied by 4 GB of RAM. It is equipped with an internal storage of 64 GB. The handset features a microSD card slot for additional storage. The rear panel of the phone features 19-megapixel camera that supports 4K HDR and 960fps slow-motion video shooting. At the front is 13-megapixel front-facing camera that has been enhanced with AI for capturing selfie shots with depth effect.
The Android 9 Pie OS is available preinstalled on the Xperia XZ3. The other interesting features of the phone include dual frontal speakers, rear fingerprint scanner, Dynamic Vibration System for haptic feedback, dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC, GPS and USB-C. The 3,300mA battery of the Xperia XZ3 is equipped with features like Quick Charge 3.0 and Qi wireless charging. There is no 3.5mm audio jack on the phone.
The Xperia XZ3 costs $899. Its sales will begin in the U.S. on Sept. 24 through retailer sites like Amazon and Best Buy. Its color variants are Black, Silver White, Bordeaux Red and Forest Green.
