T-Mobile Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge receives July security patch

Just a few days ago, BlackBerry Priv begun receiving the latest software update for the July security patch. Today, it seems like T-Mobile and Samsung had decided to set the ball rolling as well.

Just a few hours ago, T-mobile has begun rolling out the July security update for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge handsets which come with a software version G930TUVU3APG1. Other than improving the security of the device, this update will not bring along any other notable bug fixes or improvements for the device and it will remain on Android 6.0.1.

Since this update comes with an hefty 340MB file size, do make sure you’re connected to the WiFi before you begin updating your device. If you’ve yet to receive the update notification, you can check for it manually by going to Settings > About device > Software updates.
