TCL has officially unveiled a brand new budget-friendly 5G smartphone in the European markets known as the TCL 20 R. Priced at €179 (US$212), the TCL 20 R is currently the most affordable smartphone within the TCL 20 series lineup.
The TCL 20 R features a 6.52” HD+ IPS LCD display that offers a HD+ screen resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, as well as a dewdrop-notch that houses it’s front-facing camera of unspecified resolution.
At the back of the phone, it comes with a rectangular camera module which brings along a triple-cam setup including a 13 megapixels main camera, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor.
Under the hood, the TCL 20 R is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset which is paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the TCL 20 R draws power from a respectable 4,500mAh battery with 10W charging speed. Other than that, the phone also features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and is shipped with Android 11 out of the box.
