Chinese electronics giant TCL has announced a pair of new entry-level smartphones in the U.S. market known as the TCL 20A 5G and TCL X20 SE which have some pretty decent specs on paper.
TCL 20A 5G
Starting with the highest-end model among the two, we have the TCL 20A 5G that features a 6.52” IPS LCD display that offers a HD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, as well as a 13 megapixels front-facing camera to handle selfie and video calls.
On the rear side, the TCL 20A 5G comes with an elongated camera island which is home to a triple-cam setup comprising of a 16 megapixels main camera, 5 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a 2 megapixels auxiliary camera.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 480 chipset which is paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage that cdan be further expanded via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the TCL 20A 5G is backed by a 4,500mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. On the software-side, it’ll be shipped with the custom TCL UI based on Android 11 out of the box.
Currently, there’s no words on the availability and pricing of the TCL 20A 5G, but we do expect more details to come in within the next couple of weeks.
TCL X20 SE
Coming to the TCL X20 SE, this device has a 6.52” IPS LCD display which offers the same HD+ screen resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. However, it gets a slightly toned-down 5 megapixels selfie camera upfront.
As for it’s rear cameras, the TCL X20 SE features a triple-cam setup at the back consisting of a 13 megapixels main camera, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor.
The TCL X20 SE is driven by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 chipset alongside 3GB RAM and 32GB built-in storage which is also expandable via a microSD card.
The phone draws power from a massive 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. Just like the TCL 20A 5G, the TCL X20 SE is also shipped with TCL UI based on Android 11. Pricing-wise, the TCL X20 SE is priced at US$160 for it’s sole 3GB+32GB model.
