TD Tech, a joint venture between Nokia Networks and Huawei Technologies, has unveiled a new smartphone in the Chinese market known as the TD Tech N8 Pro.
Although the name of this device might sounds like an entirely new device, but it’s in fact a rebranded model of the Huawei Nova 8 Pro 5G that was launched back in December last year. As such, it’s no surprise that the TD Tech N8 Pro features a totally identical design and specs as the existing Nova 8 Pro 5G.
That means we’ll still be looking at the same 6.72-inches OLED display upfront that offers a FHD+ screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color depth, as well as a pair of front-facing cameras consisting of a 32 megapixels main snapper and a 16 megapixels portrait camera.
For photography, the TD Tech N8 Pro relies on a quad-camera system which include a 64 megapixels primary shooter, 8 megapixels selfie camera, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor.
Under the hood, it’s powered by an octa-core Kirin 985 chipset which will be coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage in the memory department. Since it’s a 5G-ready chip, the device is also able to support 5G connectivity for both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) modes.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone is backed by a 4,000mAh battery which carries support for the latest 66W Huawei SuperCharge fast-charging solution which was also found in the flagship Huawei Mate40 Pro (Review).
In the Chinese market, the TD Tech N8 Pro is priced at 3,999 Yuan (US$645) for it’s 8GB+128GB variant in the Chinese market.
