Tecno has officially announced a new mid-ranger smartphone known as the Tecno Camon 17 Pro in the Nigerian market. This device is a slightly higher-end model of the Tecno Camon 17 smartphone which was launched last month.
Starting with the front, the Tecno Camon 17 Pro sports a 6.8” LCD display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution, 90Hz refresh rate as well as a peak brightness of 500 nits. The main highlight however, lies in its 48 megapixels selfie camera that’s housed within its central hole-punch cutout.
Around the back of the phone, there’s an elongated camera module which houses a quad-camera system consisting of a 64 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera, as well as a pair of 2 megapixels auxiliary cameras.
Under the hood, the Tecno Camon 17 Pro is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G95 chipset coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the memory department. The device draws power from a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast-charging support. It’s shipped with the custom HiOS based on Android 11 out of the box.
For those who’re interested, the Tecno Camon 17 Pro is available in both California dream silver and Malibu blue colorways. The device is priced at NGN125,000 (US$329) in the Nigerian market.
