Earlier this month, Tecno Mobile announced a trio of Camon 18 series smartphones including the Tecno Camon 18, Camon 18p, as well as Camon 18 Premier.
Now, the company has officially unveiled a forth model known as the Tecno Camon 18i in the Nigerian market where the phone carries a launch price of just N84,500 (US$189).
Right off the bat, the Tecno Camon 18i features a large 6.6” IPS LCD display with HD+ screen resolution as well as a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. On top of that, it also has a 16 megapixels selfie camera housed within a hole-punch cutout situated on the upper-left corner of the screen.
In the imaging department, the phone gets an elongated camera island at the back which is home to a triple-cam setup comprising of a 48 megapixels wide camera as well as a pair of QVGA and AI auxiliary cameras.
Under the hood, the Tecno Camon 18i is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 chipset which will be coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage that can be further expanded by up to 256GB via a microSD card.
The device draws power from a respectable 5,000mAh battery which carries support for 18W fast-charging. Other than that, it also features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone jack, as well as HiOS 7.6 based on Android 11.
