Tecno is reportedly working on its next foldable phone, dubbed the Phantom V Flip. The Phantom V Fold, which was announced earlier this year, was a horizontally foldable device, but the upcoming model will be a vertically foldable device. A new report by Pricebaba reveals that the Phantom V Flip has appeared on the Google Play Console. As usual, the listing has revealed the key specifications of the device.
As per the listing, the Phantom V Flip’s foldable screen will offer a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels, a 20.5:9 aspect ratio, and a 480 dpi screen density.
The listing reveals that the Dimensity 8050, which is merely a rebranded version of the Dimensity 1300, will power the device. The device is equipped with 8 GB of RAM and runs on Android 13, which will be overlaid with a layer of HiOS. It has no information on the other specifications of the device.
The Phantom V Flip’s Play Console listing is a good hint that it will be launching soon in different markets. It may debut in September or October this year.
Other reports have revealed that the Phantom V Flip will feature a 32-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls. On the back, it will feature an OIS-enabled 64-megapixel main camera and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The phone will pack a 4,000mAh battery with 66W fast charging support and come with a side-facing fingerprint scanner. It will come in three shades: Minimal Black, Film White, and Periwinkle Purple. There was no information available about the price of the device.
