Tecno has announced a new entry-level smartphone known as the Tecno POP 5C. This device will be targeted towards the budget segment and should be available in some of the African markets in the near future.
The Tecno POP 5 features a 5” IPS LCD that brings along a 854 x 480 pixels screen resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. It also has a 2 megapixels front-facing camera that handles selfie and video calls.
Around the back of the phone, there’s a rectangular shape camera module which houses a single 5 megapixels camera and a LED flash to help with low-light photography.
Under the hood, the Tecno POP 5C is powered by a quad-core Unisoc SC7731E chipset which is paired with 1GB RAM and 16GB built-in storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the device draws power from a modest 2,400mAh battery which doesn’t come with any form of fast-charging support. On the software side, it’ll be shipped with Android 10 Go Edition out of the box.
