Tecno Mobile has quietly announced a brand new entry-level smartphone from it’s Pop 5 series lineup known as the Tecno Pop 5X. While the phone had already been listed on Tecno’s official website, the company has yet to reveal it’s official pricing and availability at the moment.
Starting with the front, the Tecno Pop 5X features a 6.5” IPS LCD display that offers a HD+ screen resolution along with a 60Hz screen refresh rate. It also comes with a 5MP front-facing camera for selfie and video calling purposes.
At the back, the Tecno Pop 5X comes with a rectangular-shaped camera module which play host to a triple-cam unit consisting of an 8 megapixels main camera that will be aided by a pair of QVGA sensors.
Under the hood, unspecified 1.4GHz quad-core chipset which is speculated to be a UNISOC SC9832CE mobile platform. This will be paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB built-in storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone is backed by a modest 4,000mAh battery which doesn’t appears to feature any form of fast-charging solution. Other than that, the Tecno Pop 5X also arrives with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication and is shipped with Android 1q0 (Go Edition) right off the box.
