Chinese smartphone maker Tecno has officially announced a new smartphone known as the Tecno Pova 2 in the Philippines. Available in a single 6GB+128GB memory configuration, the Tecno Pova 2 will be priced at PHP7,990 (US$167) in the Philippines.
Starting with the front, the Tecno Pova 2 sports a 6.9” IPS LCD display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution and a standard 60Hz screen refresh rate. It also dons a central hole-punch cutout that houses an 8 megapixels selfie camera.
Around the back of the phone, it features a rectangular camera island that houses a quad-camera setup consisting of a 48 megapixels main camera, 2 megapixels macro camera, 2 megapixels depth sensor, as well as another 2 megapixels sensor for AI photography.
Under the hood, the Tecno Pova 2 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 chipset which is paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.
To keep it’s light on, the phone draws power from a massive 7,000mAh battery which carries support for 18W fast-charging. Other than that, it also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and runs on the HiOS 7.6 based on Android 11 out of the box.
