Tecno Mobile has quietly announced a new budget-friendly smartphone dubbed as the Tecno Spark 8 which will first be made available in the Nigerian market where the phone carries an affordable launch price of just 55,000 Nigerian Naira (US$130).
For starter, the new Tecno Spark 8 smartphone features a 6.5” IPS LCD display that offers a HD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, as well as an 8 megapixels selfie camera housed within it’s dewdrop-notch upfront.
Around the back of the phone, it sports a humongous square-shape camera module which houses a pair of cameras including a 16 megapixels main camera and a QVGA secondary camera. Like-wise, you also get a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner at the back as well.
Under the hood, the Tecno Spark 8 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 chipset that will be assisted by 2GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone is equipped with a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging speed. On the software-side, it’s shipped with HiOS 7.6 based on Android 11 Go Edition.
