Earlier this week, we just heard about the existence of an upcoming OnePlus smartphone known as the OnePlus Nord 2 CE which will be succeeding this year’s OnePlus Nord CE that was launched back in June. Now, an alleged render of the OnePlus Nord 2 CE had apparently been leaked, showing off the front and rear design of the phone in full glory.
As seen in the render, the OnePlus Nord 2 CE appears to sport a flat display upfront with minimal bezels around the screen. As with the current OnePlus Nord CE, it continues to adopt a hole-punch cutout on the upper-left corner of the screen to accommodate it’s front-facing camera. If a recent leak were to be believed, then we can expect the front display to be a 6.4” AMOLED display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution and 90Hz refresh rate.
At the back, it comes with what seems to be an OPPO Reno7-inspired camera module which houses a triple-camera setup which reportedly includes a 64 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide unit, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera for close-up shots. Most importantly, the device does features a 3.5mm headphone jack located at the base of the phone.
Under the hood, the OnePlus Nord 2 CE is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset which is paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB built-in storage which supports further expansion via a microSD card. On top of that, the phone is also said to be backed by a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast-charging support.
On the software front, the OnePlus Nord 2 CE is likely to be shipped with OxygenOS 12 based on Android 12 OS out of the box. While it’s not officially confirmed, but the phone is expected to be launched in Q1 2022.
