Time Travel: Here’s our first look at the OPPO A54s

We’d already heard about the existence of the OPPO A54s smartphone for quite some time even though the company has yet to officially confirm anything about it’s launch date/ availability.

Despite that, the OPPO A54s has been quietly listed on an online store based in New Zealand along with all it’s official renders and key specs which revealed pretty much everything we need to know about the phone.

OPPO A54s Color Options

As seen in the renders, the OPPO A54s adopts a standard-looking front display that comes with a V-shaped notch to accommodate it’s 8MP selfie camera. The front display was listed as a 6.5” IPS LCD display which offers a HD+ screen resolution.

Around the back of the phone, there’s a rectangular camera island which is home to a triple-cam setup comprising of a 50 megapixels main camera, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor.

Under the hood, it’ll be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 chipset which is coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.

To keep it’s lights on, the OPPO A54s relies on a massive 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging speed. Interestingly, the phone was listed with Android 10 OS which we believe might be upgraded to a newer version on a later date. Other than that, it’s also worth noting that the device also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack.

In terms of pricing, the OPPO A54s was listed with a price of NZD349 (US$245) on the website which might or might not be reflective of it’s actual launch price.
