OPPO will be holding an official launch event for it’s next-generation’s Reno8 series smartphones on May 23rd next week, where the company is expected to unleash at least three new models such as the vanilla Reno8, Reno8 SE, as well as Reno8 Pro.
Ahead of it’s launch, the higher-end Reno8 Pro has apparently been listed on the company’s flagship store on JD.com, depicting the phone’s design in three different colors such as Blue, Black and Gold.
From the renders, it’s safe to assume that the new Reno8 Pro 5G will be arriving with an unibody design whereby the rear camera housing blends seamlessly into the rear panel – just like what we saw on the company’s flagship Find X5 Pro (Review).
Also, there’ll no change when it comes to the camera counts on the new Reno8 Pro 5, as the phone retains a total of three cameras at the back along with a single front-facing camera situated within a centered punch-hole cutout.
In terms of specs, the OPPO Reno8 Pro 5G is expected to feature a 6.7” AMOLED display that features a FHD+ screen resolution topped with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max chipset alongside a respectable 4,500mAh battery with 80W fast-charging support.
On the imaging front, the triple-camera array on the rear side of the phone is said to be lead by a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera which was also used on the Reno7 Pro 5G (Review). For selfies and video calls, the Reno8 Pro 5G also retains the same 32MP Sony IMX709 imaging sensor.
