Besides the Vivo V27 series smartphones, Chinese smartphone giant Vivo has also confirmed that the company is prepping a new entry-level smartphone dubbed as the Vivo Y100 5G which is slated to be launched later this month in certain markets such as India.
Although we are still some time away from it’s official launch, key details pertaining to the smartphone had already been leaked on social media including it’s hardware specs as well as the phone’s design which was depicted in full glory courtesy of a series of leaked renders.
The renders revealed that the Vivo Y100 5G will be available in three different colorways such as Gold, Blue and Black. Design-wise, the phone will feature a dual-ring camera design which appears to house a triple-cam system which is touted to include a 64 megapixels main camera as well as a pair of 2 megapixels cameras for macro and depth information.
Over on the front side, the Vivo Y100 5G will be coming with a drop-notch display which is based on a 6.38” AMOLED panel featuring a FHD+ screen resolution along with a fast 90Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate.
Under the hood, the phone is expected to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset which will be paired with 8GB RAM as well as 128GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card. Other than that, it’s also said to be equipped with a respectable 4,500mAh battery which supports 44W fast wired charging.
As far as pricing is concerned, the Vivo Y100 5G will allegedly be priced at just INR 24,999 ($301) for the 8GB+128GB trim in the Indian market.
