Time Travel: Here’s what we can expect from the Motorola Moto G42

Besides the long-rumored Motorola Moto G62 5G smartphone, Motorola is also reportedly prepping another entry-level smartphone known as the Moto G42 which is likely to break cover in the forthcoming weeks.

Now, courtesy of the folks over at GizPaw, we’re now able to get some first-hand details of the phone ahead of it’s official launch which not only include it’s official-looking render, but also key information pertaining to it’s hardware specs.

Starting with the front side of the phone, the Motorola Moto G42 is expected to bring along a 6.4” OLED display offering a FHD+ screen resolution along with an unspecified refresh rate. To help with selfies and video calls on the device, it’s also tipped to feature a 13 megapixels front-facing camera tucked into it’s centered hole-punch cutout.

Over on the flipside, the Motorola Moto G42 appears to sport a triple-camera array comprising of a 50 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera for close-up photography.

Under the hood, we can expect the phone to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 680 chipset which will be paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage which is likely to be further expandable via a microSD card. To keep it’s lights on, the phone is also expected to be equipped with a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support.
