After months of hiatus, Chinese smartphone giant Meizu will soon be launching it’s next-generation’s flagship phone dubbed as the Meizu 20 during the first-quarter of the year according to recent reports. While we’re still probably weeks away from it’s official launch, much details pertaining to the smartphone had already been leaked including it’s design as well as it’s specs.
According to the latest leak circulating on Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, the upcoming Meizu 20 Pro is expected to feature a high-end Samsung E6 OLED display with QHD+ screen resolution along with a fast 144Hz refresh rate. The actual size of the front display however, wasn’t mentioned by the source though there’s a likelihood that the phone could sticks to the same 6.7” display size as the Meizu 18 Pro.
Coming to the imaging front, the Meizu 20 Pro is touted to arrive with a triple-rear camera system which will be lead by a 50 megapixels Sony IMX707 main camera which will be paired with another 50 megapixels ultra-wide camera and a 50 megapixels periscope telephoto unit that’s capable of achieving 3.5x optical zoom.
Under the hood, the Meizu 20 Pro is said to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset which will be paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage in the memory department. Other than that, it’s also expected to feature a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast wired charging and 30W wireless charging support.
As far as pricing is concerned, the Meizu 20 Pro smartphone is likely to carry a starting price of 4,499 Yuan ($659) for the 8GB+256GB trim and goes up to 5,499 Yuan ($806) for the top-of-the-line model with 12GB+512GB configuration.
