The last Vivo NEX series smartphones – Vivo NEX 3 – was launched back in 2019 in the global market. Now, a new rumor from reputable Chinese leaker who goes by the handle Digital Chat Station has suggested that the company will be resurrecting it’s NEX series lineup this year.
To substantiate his claim, he had also published an alleged live image (which had since been removed) of the Vivo NEX 5 smartphone which shows off the rear design of the phone with a humongous camera island which appears to feature a triple-camera setup.
Strange enough, there isn’t any Zeiss-branding around the camera area which is something we probably expect to see among high-end Vivo smartphones such as the Vivo NEX 5 itself.
As of now, there isn’t much information pertaining to the Vivo NEX 5, except it will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset like most other recent or upcoming flagship phones like the OPPO Find X5 Pro.
Other than that, we can also expect to see substantiate upgrade in it’s imaging department, with the phone tipped to feature some impressive zooming capabilities thanks to the adoption of an advance telephoto/ periscope lens.
