Dutch-based phone maker Fairphone is gearing up for the launch of it’s first smartphone of the year – Fairphone 4 5G – which will reportedly take place on September 30th this week.
Ahead of it’s debut, most of it’s key specs and even official press renderings had already made their way to the web, revealing pretty much everything we need to know about the upcoming handset.
As we can see from the renders, the Fairphone 4 5G will be arriving with a rather typical-looking dewdrop notch display which appears to be flanked by some pretty noticeable bezels along it’s sides. The front display is likely to be a LCD panel as suggested by the presence of a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Around the back of the phone, it comes with an unique triangular-shaped camera island which houses a pair of cameras including a 48 megapixels main camera as well as an auxiliary camera for either macro or depth information.
Under the hood, the Fairphone 4 5G is expected to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 750G chipset according to it’s recent benchmark appearance. This is of course, a considerable upgrade over the current Fairphone 3 and 3+ models.
Although the battery capacity of the phone isn’t revealed, but we did know that the battery will be removable – just like any other Fairphone devices. On the software-side, the Fairphone 4 5G will probably be shipped with Android 11 out of the box.
