Following the launch of it’s iQOO 8 series smartphones, iQOO will soon be launching it’s next mid-range offering dubbed as the iQOO Z5 in both China and India later this month.
Ahead of it’s actual launch, iQOO had published several official renderings of the phone which show off it’s rear design in three different colorways, including one with a textured design.
At first glance, the iQOO Z5 does shares some resemblance to the iQOO 7 smartphone, except for some minor redesign to it’s camera module. Therefore, what really set the phones apart are in fact the underlying hardware of both devices.
Based on what we’d learned so far, the iQOO Z5 is expected to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 778G chipset just like the newly announced Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE as well as the upcoming Samsung Galaxy M52 5G. In the memory department, the phone will be equipped with the latest LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage technologies.
On the frontside, the iQOO Z5 is said to feature a smooth 120Hz display that comes with a central hole-punch design. While we doesn’t have much information pertaining to the type of display used on the phone, but it’s widely speculated to be the same LCD display that was used in the iQOO Z3.
Other than that, iQOO had also earlier confirmed that the triple rear cameras of the iQOO Z5 will be lead by a 64 megapixels main camera. To keep it’s lights on, the phone also features a 5,000mAh battery that carries support for 44W fast-charging.
