A newly leaked video from Chinese Weibo has hinted that the upcoming Nubia Z17 is likely to be IP67 certified this time round, as it shows the device working perfectly fine after being submerged into the water. Similar to any other devices under the IP67 rating, the Nubia Z17 will not only be able to withstand being submerged in 1 meter (up to 30 mins), but will also be fully protected from dust.
Just in case you’d missed out, this device had already cleared Chinese TENAA authority last week which leaked out some of the key specs of the handset as well. According to its TENAA listing, the Nubia Z17 is expected to come with a 5.5″ display which is powered by a Snapdragon 835 SoC along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage space under its memory compartment.
If rumors are true, there will also be a higher-end model which packs a monstrous 8GB RAM as well as 128GB onboard storage. This premium model allegedly scored more than 180,000 points on AnTuTu according to a series of leaked screenshots.
If nothing goes wrong, the Nubia Z17 should be announced in June next month.
