It appears that the brand could be planning to launch a new flagship phone in the Chinese market before the end of the year. Tipster Digital Chat Station has leaked the specifications of an upcoming OnePlus phone.
Without mentioning the name of the phone, DCS has revealed that it will arrive with a 6.7-inch curved-edge display that offers 1.5K resolution and high-frequency dimming. The leak has no information about the front camera of the device, but it states that its rear panel will have a Sony IMX890 50-megapixel primary camera, an OmniVision OV08D10 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and an IMX709 32-megapixel telephoto camera.
He added that the device uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, indicating that it will be the third phone from the company this year to do so. It will pack a 5,500mAh battery with 100W charging support. While the name of the device is under wraps, it is likely to be an Ace-branded phone for the Chinese market.
A couple of weeks ago, a leak revealed the key specifications of the OnePlus 12R, which is expected to launch in Q1 2024 in India. The Ace 2 Pro, which debuted recently in China, was thought to be a rebranded version of the 12R. However, this was not the case.
The leaked specifications of the alleged Ace-branded phone are identical to those expected to arrive on the OnePlus 12R. Hence, it appears to be a rebranded version of the 12R.
