Recently, a Realme phone with model number RMX3850 was recently approved by China’s radio certification platform. Now, a device bearing the RMX3851 model number has appeared in the database of the Geekbench benchmarking platform. Since the RMX3851 has been recently approved by the EEC authority of Europe, it appears that it could be a global version of the RMX3850 heading to China.
Unfortunately, there is no information available on the final branding of the Realme RMX3850 / RMX3851 smartphone. However, it appears that it may end up as a GT Neo-branded smartphone.
The Geekbench listing reveals that the Realme RMX3851 will be equipped with a new Snapdragon chip, which seems to be the rumored SM8635 chip. The motherboard field in the listing states the “pineapple” codename, which is associated with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.
The prime CPU core of the chip clocks at 3.01 GHz. In addition, it has three CPU cores ticking at 2.61 GHz, and the remaining four CPU cores operate at 1.84 GHz. The SoC is also equipped with the Adreno 735 GPU. In the single-core and multi-core tests, the device scored 1512 and 3799 points, respectively. These scores may not be the actual representation of the chip’s performance. The listing further mentions that the device has 16 GB of RAM and Android 14.
Reports have revealed that Realme is working on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered Realme GT Neo 6 for the Chinese market. This device is likely to launch in the coming month in China. The RMX3851 / RMX3850 could be yet another GT Neo model. Probably, it will replace the China-exclusive Realme GT Neo 5 SE, which debuted last year.
