Launched back in December last month, the Xiaomi Mi 11 was the first smartphone from the Chinese smartphone giant that’s offered in two different variants – one with an in-box charger and another one without.
However, speculations are rife that the same situation may happen for the case of the Redmi K40 after Redmi’s GM posted a new image depicting what seems to be the official retail boxes of the upcoming Redmi K40 smartphone.
Among the two retail boxes shown in the image, one of them is significantly thinner than the other, which hints that the company may be considering to launch the Redmi K40 without an accompanying charger.
Although many doesn’t seems to welcome the idea of ditching an in-box charger, but there are in fact more than 20,000 consumers who actually opted for the Xiaomi Mi 11 variant that comes without an accompanying charger even though both are offered at a similar price.
Right now, there still isn’t any official confirmation whether the Redmi K40 will eventually be shipped with a charger. However, it wouldn’t be a bad idea if the company continues to offer two variants at similar price to give consumers an option whether they want the in-box charger.
