After the omission of in-box bundled earphones in recent flagship phones, it seems like another useful accessory is going to be vanished from the retail packaging of certain notable flagship phones including the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21 series smartphones.
According to the certificate issued by Brazilian regulatory authority Anatel, an explicit notice has noted that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus and Galaxy S21 Ultra will not be shipped with a charger or earphone out of the box.
This means that the Galaxy S21 trio will be following the footsteps of the Apple iPhone 12 series devices which had also omitted these accessories from their retail packaging as well.
Of course, unless Samsung passes on the savings from the omission of these accessories to the users, consumers will probably feel unjust about the decision to omit the charger since they probably have to purchase them separately if their current one breaks down.
If nothing goes wrong, we can expect the Samsung Galaxy S21 series flagships to be announced as early as January next year.
