A mysterious Vivo smartphone with a V2123A model number has appeared in the database of the Geekbench benchmarking site. The listing reveals that this phone is driven by the recently announced Dimensity 900 chipset.
The Vivo V2123A’s Geekbench listing does not explicitly mention that it is powered by the Dimensity 900. However, it does mention it with its MT6877 model number. The SoC is coupled with 8 GB of RAM and it runs on Android 11 OS. The handset scored 3467 and 8852 in the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench, respectively.
At present, there is no information available on the other specifications of the Vivo V2123A smartphone. Hopefully, newer reports will also reveal the marketing name of the product.
The Vivo V2123A may not be the first phone to hit the market with the Dimensity 900 chipset. Recent reports have revealed that the alleged OPPO Reno6 that has a model number of PEQM00 could be debuting first with the new SoC. Rumors have it that the Reno6 may debut on May 27 in China. Reports have also revealed that Xiaomi is working on a Redmi Note 10 series phone with Dimensity 900 chipset for the home market.
The 6nm Dimensity 900, which sits below the previously announced Dimensity 1100 SoC is an octa-core processor that features two Cortex-A78 cores that work at 2.4GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores with 2GHz clocking speed. It is equipped with Mali G68 MC4 GPU and it carries support for LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 storage. Other supported features of the chip include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, and AI processing unit.
