Vivo has already started teasing the arrival of the Vivo X300 series in China. Earlier this week, Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao confirmed the primary camera of the Vivo X300, followed by details about the X300 Pro’s periscope telephoto camera. Today, he released a new Weibo post to reveal the X300’s periscope telephoto camera and the X300 Pro’s main camera. Additionally, he also shared information about the Vivo X300 series’ front-facing camera.
Vivo X300 series camera details
It is already known that the Vivo X300’s rear camera setup will feature a customized 200-megapixel Samsung HPB primary camera. Today, the Vivo executive confirmed that the X300 will include a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-602 periscope telephoto camera.
He further revealed that the periscope camera will feature Zeiss T* coating to reduce glare and improve clarity. It will also support telephoto macro photography.
For the Pro model, the Vivo X300 Pro is confirmed to feature the all-new Sony LYT-828 50-megapixel main camera. This sensor measures 1/1.28 inches and has an f/1.57 aperture. It is also said to deliver CIPA 5.5-level stabilization. It is already confirmed that the device will feature a 200-megapixel Samsung HPB sensor for a periscope telephoto camera.
While both the X300 and X300 Pro are expected to feature a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, there is currently no information about the exact sensor these devices will use. The series will likely adopt the Samsung JN1 or JN5 for ultra-wide shots.
The Vivo X300 series is also confirmed to feature a 50-megapixel front-facing camera. Boxiao revealed that the selfie camera will support autofocus and offer a 92-degree field of view.
