As scheduled, Vivo has officially announced their latest Vivo iQOO Neo gaming-centric smartphone in China today. Compared to its current Vivo iQOO sibling, the new iQOO Neo is a more affordable option with a slightly watered-down specs sheet.
Vivo iQOO Neo Specifications
The Vivo iQOO Neo arrives with a 6.38-inch OLED display offering a 2340 x 1080 pixels screen resolution and a 19.5:9 tall aspect ratio. Under the hood, the device is driven by last year’s Snapdragon 845 flagship-grade SoC – in order to keep its pricing affordable without compromising on its performance.
According to Vivo, the latest iQOO Neo will be available in four different memory configurations as follow: 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB, 8GB+64GB and 8GB+128GB. As for its camera, the device sports a triple-camera setup on its rear chassis which comprises of a 12MP main snapper, an 8MP wide-angle lens, as well as a 2MP depth sensor. On its front panel, there is also a 12MP Dual Pixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.
Beneath its rear chassis, there is a mammoth 4,500mAh which is capable of keeping the device running for hours of continuous gaming on the go. Software-wise, the device runs on FuntouchOS 9 atop the Android Pie OS.
Aside from those mentioned above, other lit features which are worth mentioning include an in-display fingerprint sensor, touch acceleration technology which promises zero lag when using in-game joystick, 4D Game Shock 2.0 technology, Super Liquid Cooling technology, as well as Vivo’s FlashCharge technology which charges from 0 to 50% within 30 minutes.
Vivo iQOO Neo Pricing & Available
Pricing for the Vivo iQOO Neo starts from as low as 1,798 Yuan (S$354) for the 6GB+64GB entry-level model and goes as high as 2,298 Yuan (S$453) for the 8GB+128GB high-end model. As for the 6GB+128GB and 8GB+64GB models, the pricing are 1,998 Yuan (S$394) and 2,098 Yuan (S$413) respectively.
If nothing goes wrong, the iQOO Neo will go on its debut sale in China on July 8th next week.
