Last month, Vivo has finally took the wrap off the highly anticipated iQOO Neo3 flagship which is once again, one of the most affordable flagship phone in the market. Today, we will take a look at how this device stand up against another Vivo flagship phone none other than the Vivo NEX 3 5G.
Front Display
Starting with the front display, the Vivo iQOO Neo 3 arrives with a 6.57-inches FHD+ LCD display. The Vivo NEX 3 on the other hand, has a 6.89-inches Super AMOLED display which is definitely much preferred over a LCD display.
However, the iQOO Neo3 has an incredibly smooth screen refresh rate of 144Hz which is much higher than the 60Hz refresh rate on the Vivo NEX 3.
Camera System
Both the Vivo NEX 3 and iQOO Neo3 features a triple-camera system at the back. However, the Vivo NEX 3 is equipped with more powerful sensors than the latter. It include a 64 megapixels Samsung GW1 main camera, 13 megapixels telephoto lens, as well as a 13 megapixels ultra-wide lens.
In comparison, the iQOO Neo3 is equipped with a 48 megapixels Sony IMX582 main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera.
Courtesy of the telephoto lens on the Vivo NEX 3, the device is able to achieve up to 2x optical zoom and 20x digital zoom. The iQOO Neo3 on the other hand, misses out on this aspect due to the lack of telephoto lens.
Performance
In terms of performance, the iQOO Neo3 definitely scores better in this category. The device is driven by the latest Snapdragon 865 platform, while the Vivo NEX 3 runs on a slightly older Snapdragon 855+ SoC.
Moreover, the iQOO Neo3 also utilize the latest UFS 3.1 flash storage which has an improved read and write speed over the UFS 3.0 flash storage on the Vivo NEX 3.
Battery
Both devices comes with a 4,500mAh battery capacity and are able to support up to 44W fast-charging.
Based on the specs we discussed above, it is obvious that the Vivo NEX 3 and iQOO Neo3 are two very distinctive flagships. The Vivo NEX 3 will be a more balanced smartphone which has all the typical flagship features including Super AMOLED display and a powerful rear camera system.
The iQOO Neo3 on the other hand, is more suitable for young gamer as it offers a number of interesting gaming-centric features including a buttery-smooth screen refresh rate and touch sampling rate. Most importantly, it is also more affordable than the Vivo NEX 3 5G.
