After weeks of leaks, Vivo has officially announced the Vivo NEX 3 5G smartphone in China. The smartphone’s display comes with extremely curved edges. This display design is dubbed as Waterfall FullView Display. After the Redmi Note 8 Pro, the Vivo NEX is the next phone to debut in China with 64-megapixel camera.
Vivo NEX 3 Specifications and Features
The Vivo NEX 3 has a 6.89-inch P-OLED display with notch-less display that full HD+ resolution. The curvature at the edges of the screen are around 90 degrees. It offers a screen-to-body ratio of 99.6 percent. Instead of physical volume and power buttons, the Vivo NEX 3 has pressure-sensitive buttons for volume and power called Touch Sense. There is X-Axis haptic for vibration during games and typing.
The Snapdragon 855+ chipset with 12 GB of RAM powers the smartphone. The 4,500mAh battery of the phone supports 44W fast charging. The handset has 256 GB of storage. The Samsung GW1 64-megapixel + wide-angle 13-megapixel + telephoto 13-meapixel triple camera setup. The pop-up camera module has a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
Vivo NEX 3 Price and Release Date
The Vivo NEX 3’s base model supports only 4G LTE network. It has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage and It is priced at 4,998 Yuan (~$706). The same variant with 5G connectivity is priced at 5,698 Yuan (~$809). The 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variant with 5G connectivity is priced at 6,198 Yuan (~$876). The pre-orders of the phone have started today and its first sale will take place on Sept. 21.
